Interview with Darrell K. Jackson

Author of  The Sign of Christ

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

Why did I move to Texas? Moving was really not my decision but yet it was in our long-term plans since I had aging parents. The telecom company that I worked for at the time required me to move in order to implement a new mapping system there for digitized records.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

What made me publish the book? When I made the discovery of the bible images down deep in elevations of Google Earth in satellite photos, I felt inclined to record all my findings and record the process. Information kept growing with each and every picture and it became evident there was a story line all-inclusive to the many pictures.

How would I describe my book? “The Sign of Christ” records and reports on the many pictures appearing that are noteworthy. We must realize that satellite photographs of the surface of the earth capture whatever is on the ground such as rocks, boulders, sand, mountain tops. and mountain valleys and these form the many pictures we see. We cannot say well, those are just billions of coincidences. The many life like images are s, vast in size, covering vast distances forming a story line of biblical scriptures is significant.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Who do you want to connect with your book “The Sign of Christ”? Whosoever wants to see and read what is revealed on an ongoing schedule of time. Fascination and intrigue is a steady ongoing revelation to us.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

Is there anything surprising that you encountered along the way while writing “The Sign of Christ”? Yes, at times sand is blown away and reveals a picture and sometimes blown into a configuration to reveal a new picture. Vigilant observation was and continually is my routine in this endeavor. Purposeful renderings by God hold an important task for you and I.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

As many as possible, of course the ultimate factor of how many and where and when is in God’s control.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

Well I would say that imposters claiming to be professional publishers, marketers, film executives, and the like have been aggravations. After spending time checking credentials, researching phone number and dead end trails, it was exasperating to realize my time wasted. I also experienced losing money after not receiving anything in return for work promised but not delivered or done very poorly

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My strengths as a writer in the many years of experience. In my career I have written yearly corporate year reports, monthly reports, magazine articles, newspaper columns, job descriptions for HR groups, exposés as well as advertising copy. These preparatory career paths enabled me to reach my goal.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

I suppose my weakness in this field would be having to learning how to market to reach as many people as possible. That is the goal and is necessary to spread the most important message of spiritual awareness in my life.

When do you think you will write your next book?

I suppose the next book will be either latter this year or early next year. As long as new pictures appear I will be recording and reporting on these discoveries. I am about 80% complete with that work presently.

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

Yes I will unless I am chosen by a traditional publisher.
