What made you decide to write and publish your first book? My adventures in the Middle East were such a unique experience that I felt sharing them might be of value others.
How would you describe your books to first time readers? My book is a true life story that is very original. Readers can enjoy an armchair voyage. It also contains much information about Egyptian culture and Sufism. The characters in my book are actual people.
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about? Those interested in any of the following: Egypt, Sufism, True-life adventure, Biography, Travel, Rumi, Hafiz, Spiritualism, Love Stories, Alternate lifestyles, Mystical Journeys, Mysticism, Islam, Philosophy, Middle East, Dervish
What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?* Writing down my experiences in Egypt gave me insight into just how like a work of fiction parts of my life have actually been.
If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey? Don’t allow your fears to stop you, but do be a bit more cautions with regard your personal safety.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books? As many as possible!
What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date? Attempting to capture the essence of indescribable experiences.

When do you think you will write your next book? My autobiography is already in progress. I hope to have it ready for the final edit within the next six months.
